After a 4 hour drive from Arusha to the Lemosho Gate, we meet our guides and porters and begin to organise our packs and gear for the start of the adventure.

We begin a short, but challenging climb through the forrests towards Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) camp - keeping an eager eye out for wildlife in the trees and at our feet!

After a little over 4 hours, we discover an open area within the forrest, this is our camp for the first night on Kilimanjaro.
